What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 1, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $5,336.16 in rent arrears and application fee, plus $37.15 per day in compensation for use of the unit from January 22, 2022 until the Tenants move out. If the full amount is not paid by February 1, 2022, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
