What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The original order was issued on March 30, 2021, but the Tenant requested a review, which was heard on May 25, 2021.

The ruling

Order EAL-91311-20 issued on March 30, 2021 is cancelled and replaced. The Tenant shall pay the lawful rent in full and on time for each consecutive month commencing June 2021 and continuing through May 2022. If the Tenant fails to make the payments, the Landlord can apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant, without notice to the Tenant, under Section 78 of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006.
