What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant failed to pay lawful monthly rent for October 2022 and failed to pay $1,000.00 towards arrears by the specified date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 7, 2023. The Tenant must pay $10,134.87 to the Landlord, representing rent arrears, application fees, and daily compensation, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $36.92 per day from January 28, 2023, until vacating the unit. If the Tenant does not vacate by February 7, 2023, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting February 8, 2023.
