What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant, another occupant, or someone the Tenant permitted in the residential complex wilfully or negligently causing undue damage to the premises and substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlords or another tenant.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective November 1, 2020, the date the Tenant vacated the unit. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlords $28,627.92 to cover the costs of repairing the damage and replacing damaged property. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 4, 2021, they will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
