What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to rent arrears and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also applied for an order determining that the Tenants had altered the locking system.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 9, 2021 unless the Tenants pay the full arrears of $20,601 by that date. If the unit is not vacated by August 9, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenants are also ordered to remove the lock they installed on the screen door or provide the Landlord with a key.
