What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the landlord had entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser required possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 31, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by May 31, 2021, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for eviction, and the tenant shall pay the landlord $19.73 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from June 1, 2021 until the tenant moves out.
