What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant causing undue damage to the rental unit and substantially interfering with the Landlord's and other tenants' reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 1, 2022, and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $3,500 for the cost of repairing the damage, as well as $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 1, 2022, they will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
