The ruling
The tenancy is terminated as of May 26, 2021, the date the Tenant gave vacant possession of the rental unit to the Landlord. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $6,867.92, which represents the amount of rent owing and compensation up to May 26, 2021, as well as the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by August 9, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
