What happened

The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 28, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $30,161.38 in rent arrears and application costs, less the rent deposit and interest owed. The Tenant must also pay daily compensation of $83.84 from December 1, 2022 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 28, 2023, interest will accrue at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
