The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 16, 2021. The tenant must pay the landlord $9,703.84, which includes rent arrears up to August 11, 2021 and the application fee, less the rent deposit and interest on the deposit. The tenant must also pay $39.17 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting August 12, 2021 until the tenant moves out. The tenant can void the eviction order by paying $11,862.50 on or before August 31, 2021 or $7,096.50 on or before April 16, 2021.
