What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 7, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,925.35, which includes rent arrears, NSF cheque charges, and application fees, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $43.59 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 25, 2022 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 7, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest starting March 8, 2022.
