What happened
Landlords applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants raised several issues under section 82 of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006, including mold, lack of maintenance, and unauthorized entry by the Landlord.
The ruling
The Tenants shall pay the Landlords $2,600.00, which represents the rent arrears of $4,400.00 less the last month's rent deposit of $900.00 and the payment of $900.00 made on October 19, 2018. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlords $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by June 24, 2019, they will start to owe interest at 3.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
