What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to Tenants' failure to meet a condition specified in the mediated settlement issued by the Board on January 29, 2020. The condition was that for a period of 12 months, the Tenants were to refrain from any actions which would give rise to the service of a new notice to terminate the tenancy, and the Landlord could apply to the Board without notice to the Tenants to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants if they did not meet this condition.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before September 28, 2020. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to have the eviction enforced starting September 29, 2020.
