What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before April 30, 2023. If the unit is not vacated on or before April 30, 2023, then starting May 1, 2023, the Landlord may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced. The one-month compensation owing to the Tenant shall be applied to the month of March 2023, and the last month rent deposit shall be applied to the month of April 2023. The Tenant does not owe the Landlord any daily compensation for use of the unit up to the termination date in this order. If the Tenant does not vacate the rental unit on or before April 30, 2023, the Tenant shall pay the Landlord compensation of $33.70 per day until the date the Tenant moves out of the rental unit. The Landlord shall pay the Tenant $62.08 for the interest owing on the last month rent deposit to February 8, 2023.
