What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant was in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed, but had vacated the unit on April 1, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,223.88 in rent arrears and compensation, as well as $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 30, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
