What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant had lived in the unit for over 5 years and the late payments were attributed to a dispute over the last month's rent deposit.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord the lawful rent in full and on time for each consecutive month from March 2022 to February 2023. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $700 to replace the last month's rent deposit by April 30, 2022. If the Tenant fails to make these payments, the Landlord can apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
