What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on December 23, 2020. The Tenants did not meet the conditions specified in the previous order to pay the rent arrears and current rent.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 13, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $7,516.62 (less any amount paid after January 8, 2021) and $49.32 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 3, 2021 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by February 13, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
