What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant had not paid the total rent required from February 6, 2021 to August 5, 2021. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective March 5, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $13,347.00 to the Landlord or to the Board in trust on or before February 18, 2022. The Tenant must pay $12,201.67 to the Landlord for rent arrears and compensation up to February 7, 2022, plus $34.52 per day starting February 8, 2022 until move-out. The Tenant must also pay $186.00 for the application filing cost. If the unit is not vacated by February 18, 2022, the Landlord may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction.
