What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on June 30, 2021 with respect to application TEL-12646-20.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 30, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $10,633.99, representing the rent arrears less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $67.40 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting July 20, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 30, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
