What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as per the previous consent order. The Tenants failed to pay $1,000 towards rent arrears and $1,450 towards rent by the agreed upon date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 9, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $6,611 for rent arrears and application fees, less the rent deposit. The Tenants must also pay $47.67 per day for compensation for use of the unit from December 1, 2021 until they vacate. If the full amount is not paid by January 9, 2022, the Tenants will owe interest.
