What happened

Tenants applied for an order determining that the Landlords failed to meet their maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 or failed to comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards. The tenancy commenced in April 2018 and ended in April 2020 when the Tenants vacated the rental unit. The Tenants complained about water leaks in the unit in August 2019, January 2020, and March 2020, which caused damage to the walls and ceiling. The Landlord responded to the issues and hired professionals to repair the roof and address the leaks.
