What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord also applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants for substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 23, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $35,000.00 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $123.29 per day for compensation for use of the unit from July 13, 2021 to the move-out date, and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by July 23, 2021, they will start owing interest and the Landlord can file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement of the eviction.
