What happened

Landlord applied for an order determining that the Tenant abandoned the rental unit. The Tenant was last seen in June 2021 before a police raid, and the Landlord has not heard from the Tenant since then. Rent was last paid in May 2021.

The ruling

The Tenant's tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 25, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
