What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as per a previous mediated settlement. The Tenants failed to meet the conditions of the settlement by not paying the full amount owed.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 11, 2020. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $7,767.56, which represents the rent owing up to September 30, 2020 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $27.95 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting October 1, 2020 until they move out.
