What happened

Landlords applied for an order determining whether Tenant altered the locking system without their consent. The Tenant was previously evicted from the rental unit in April 2021 under a separate Board order.

The ruling

The Landlords may alter the locking system. If the rental unit is occupied, the Landlords shall provide the tenant(s) with keys to the replacement locking system. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlords $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 1, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
