What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant, another occupant or a person permitted in the residential complex by the Tenant substantially interfering with the Landlord's or another tenant's reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex or substantially interfering with the lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 15, 2022. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before March 15, 2022. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $14,729.28, which represents compensation for the use of the unit from April 17, 2020 to March 4, 2022. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $21.44 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from March 5, 2022 to the date the Tenant moves out of the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by March 15, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest calculated at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
