What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on September 25, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 22, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $21,749.60 (less any amount paid after the application was filed) for rent arrears up to February 11, 2021, and $35.34 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 12, 2021 until the Tenants move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by February 22, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
