What happened

Landlord applied for termination of tenancy and eviction due to Tenants' substantial interference with reasonable enjoyment and wilful or negligent damage to the premises. Landlord also sought compensation for damages and daily compensation for Tenants' stay after termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 31, 2022. Tenants must vacate by this date and pay $34.52 per day from January 21, 2022, until they move out, plus $186.00 for the application fee. If not paid by January 31, 2022, interest will accrue at 2% annually from February 1, 2022. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting February 1, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
