What happened
Tenants applied for an order determining that Landlords failed to meet their maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 or failed to comply with health, safety, housing or maintenance standards. Tenants alleged they had to temporarily move out of the unit in March 2020 due to repair issues and their belongings were damaged due to pest infestations.
The ruling
The Tenants' application is dismissed. The Landlord responded reasonably to the Tenant's maintenance concerns and did not breach their obligations under the Act.
