What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that the Landlord collected or retained money illegally and that the Landlord, Superintendent and/or Agent harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with the Tenant. The Tenant vacated the rental unit and the parties disputed the termination date of the tenancy.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective June 9, 2020. The Landlord shall pay the Tenant $850 for the key deposit and excess rent, as well as $53 for the cost of filing the T1 Application. The Tenant's T2 Application is dismissed.
