What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants had not paid rent for the period from November 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, and the Landlord served a valid Notice of Termination.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 16, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $14,411.93, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and the application fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by July 16, 2021, they will owe interest and the Landlord can file the order for enforcement of the eviction.
