What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlords require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 3, 2021. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before October 3, 2021. The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $22.19 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from October 4, 2021 to the date the Tenant moves out, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by October 3, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
