What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per a previous order. The Tenant did not meet the conditions specified in the previous order to pay rent arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 16, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $5,474.32 (less any amount paid after January 26, 2021) which includes rent arrears and costs from the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $45.86 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting February 6, 2021 until the Tenant moves out.
