What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from June 1, 2020 to August 31, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $5,498.02, which represents the rent arrears, application filing fee, and less interest owing on the deposit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by May 1, 2021, they will start to owe interest. The Landlord's L2 application to evict is withdrawn as the Tenants have vacated the unit.
