What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant, another occupant, or someone Tenant permitted causing undue damage to the premises and substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant. Landlord also claimed compensation for each day Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date and for the damage.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated. The Tenant moved out of the rental unit on August 20, 2020. The Tenant shall also pay to the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before August 23, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
