What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their failure to meet certain conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The conditions were related to smoking in the rental unit and using the backyard area.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenants is terminated, and the Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before January 18, 2022. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $62.47 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting January 8, 2022 until the date the Tenants move out. The Landlord or the Tenants shall pay to the other any sum of money that is owed as a result of this order.
