What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant was not present at the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective June 6, 2021. The Tenant must move out by June 6, 2021 and pay the Landlord $736.97, which includes compensation for use of the unit from April 1, 2021 to May 26, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $29.59 per day for use of the unit from May 27, 2021 until move-out, and $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by June 6, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
