What happened

Tenant applied for an order determining that Landlord substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex by the Tenant or by a member of the Tenant's household. The Tenant alleged that the Landlord has a camera with a microphone in the kitchen that records and provides real-time footage of the shared spaces, illegally enters the rental unit without prior 24 hour written notice, prohibits the Tenant from having visitors or overnight guests, and threatened to evict the Tenant.

The ruling

The Landlord is ordered to refrain from interfering with the Tenant's right to have guests in his rental unit and from arbitrarily telling the Tenant to move out. The Landlord is also ordered to pay the Tenant $45 for the cost of filing the application.
