What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent and substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex. The Landlord served two N5 notices and one N8 notice on the Tenants.
The ruling
The Tenants shall pay the lawful rent to the Landlord in full and on time, for the period March 1, 2022 through February 1, 2023. If the Tenants fail to make any payments, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by March 1, 2022, they will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
