What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 24, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $2,584.26, which includes rent arrears up to January 13, 2022 and the costs from the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $42.85 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting January 14, 2022 until they move out. If the full amount is not paid by January 24, 2022, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
