What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent, undue damage to the premises, substantial interference with the Landlord's enjoyment, and impairment of safety. The Landlord withdrew the eviction applications and requested an order for rent owing and application costs.
The ruling
The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $1,500 in rent arrears and $201 in application costs. If the full amount is not paid by April 2, 2021, the Tenant will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
