What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants had vacated the rental unit on April 30, 2021, prior to the hearing date.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $3,928.79 in rent arrears, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $201 for the cost of filing the application. If the full amount is not paid by September 6, 2021, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
