What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 6, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $1,970.01, which includes rent arrears up to September 30, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit. The Tenants must also pay $47.43 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting October 1, 2021 until they move out. If the full amount is not paid by November 6, 2021, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
