What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants attempted to raise issues under section 82 of the Residential Tenancies Act, but failed to provide proper notice. The parties reached a consent agreement on a separate file (SOL-26926-22-SA) to terminate the tenancy on July 31, 2022.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 31, 2022. Tenants must pay $8,611.13 to the Landlord by July 31, 2022. If not vacated by July 31, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting August 1, 2022. Tenants must pay $46.21 per day for use of the unit from August 1, 2022 until they move out.
