What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous consent order. The Tenant had not paid the rent arrears and costs as required by the consent order.
The ruling
The previous consent order is cancelled. The tenancy is terminated and the Tenant must vacate the unit by January 22, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,044.33 in rent arrears and costs, plus $32.15 per day in compensation starting January 1, 2022 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 22, 2022, interest will start accruing at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
