What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed administration charges related to NSF cheques. The Tenants did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 4, 2022, unless the Tenants void the order by paying the full amount owing. The Tenants must pay $5,281.51 plus $28.71 per day starting January 25, 2022, for rent arrears, compensation, and NSF charges. If not paid, the Landlord may file for eviction with the Sheriff after February 5, 2022.
