What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to NSF cheques. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amount. The Tenant must pay $3,516.53 to the Landlord if the order is not voided, plus $28.49 per day for use of the unit from January 31, 2023 until move-out. The Tenant must vacate by March 11, 2023 if the order is not voided.
