What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord also applied for an order requiring the Tenants to compensate the Landlord for damages to the premises.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 25, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $12,848.60, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and application filing costs, less the rent deposit and interest owed. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by April 25, 2021, they will owe interest and the Landlord can file the order for enforcement of the eviction.
