What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants had vacated the rental unit prior to the hearing date.

The ruling

The Landlord's L2 application was withdrawn as the Tenants had vacated the rental unit. The Tenants owed -$306.94 to the Landlord, which represents the rent arrears less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants were also ordered to pay $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the full amount is not paid by September 11, 2021, the Landlord will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
