Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay compensation for the damages caused by the Tenant or a person the Tenant permitted in the residential complex.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $1,660.00, which represents the reasonable costs of repairing the damage and replacing the damaged property. The Tenant shall also pay to the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before June 27, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest. This will be simple interest calculated from June 28, 2021 at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
